The CIAC website’s main purpose is to keep the cephalopod research community connected between meetings by providing a platform for current news and information. The community also keeps in contact through the FASTMOLL email distribution list, to which you can subscribe here, and the CIAC Facebook page.
Many other external websites host excellent repositories of information about specific aspects of cephalopod biology. We recommend the following sources:
European COST Action FA1301 on cephalopod welfare: CephsInAction
The Smithsonian Cephalopod Bibliography is a searchable database of cephalopod references.
A list of masters and doctoral cephalopod theses to 2001.
A list of Recent Cephalopoda Primary Types compiled by Mike Sweeney
Distributional records: OBIS
Cephalopod genome sequencing: Cephalopod Sequencing Consortium (CephSeq)
DNA sequence information: GenBank
Database of active cephalopod researchers: Coming soon on CephBase
Deep-sea Guide from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI): Cephalopods of the Monterey Canyon
